The Coal City Public Library District offers the Illinois License Plate renewal service.

Illinois residents will be able to renew their license plate stickers at the library.*
You will need your Illinois Vehicle Registration Renewal Notice & PIN or
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Driver’s license number, and license plate number.

* If your vehicle needs to pass an emissions test, the Library will be unable to renew your license plate.

Fees & Payment Methods:
Payments accepted with cash, debit, or credit cards only.

Cost of renewal sticker: Varies

Service fee & card processing fee for each renewal: $9.00*
* CCPLD Cardholders receive no service fee when paying cash or a discounted fee of $4 when using a debit/credit card.
